Bosun’s Marine Maryland is thrilled to announce the 4th Annual Ladies at the Helm, led by the amazing Captain Sarah Lawrence, owner of Chesapeake Boating Academy!

Captain Sarah will equip you with the knowledge and skills you need to navigate the waterways with confidence.  This fun and informative six-hour session covers everything from essential knots and navigation techniques to understanding your boat’s equipment and mastering safe docking procedures.

Here’s what you can expect:

• Navigation 101: Learn navigation basics with paper charts and GPS.
• Master the Knots: We’ll teach you the Cleat Hitch, Bowline, and Clove Hitch – essential skills for any boater.
• Gear Up & Get Savvy: Discover the most important boating equipment and how to use it effectively, including VHF radios, PLBs, flares, and fire extinguishers.
• Lunch & Learn: Enjoy a delicious catered lunch while testing your boating smarts with a fun game of Boating Jeopardy!
• Dock Like a Boss: Gain the skills and confidence for safe and secure docking maneuvers.
